A fire pit is a low, wide gathering point for lounge seating. A fire bowl is a compact, sculptural vessel that works as a focal accent or in pairs along pools and entries. A fire table adds a usable ledge for drinks and plates. Choose by how you will use the space first, then by size and fuel.

Propane or natural gas: which should I choose?

Propane (LP) runs from a tank, so it needs no gas line and is easy to place or move. Natural gas (NG) connects to your home supply for continuous run time but requires a gas line installed by a licensed professional. The Outdoor Plus fire pits and fire bowls are offered in both LP and NG versions.

How does a patio heater with a real flame work?

Planika patio heaters are 360° glass flame towers that run on propane, with a 20 lb tank hidden in the base — no installation required. You get radiant warmth and a visible flame in one piece of outdoor design.

Built-in outdoor fireplace or freestanding gas fireplace?

A built outdoor fireplace, such as The Outdoor Plus Williams, Huntington or Berkeley (72"–120"), is a permanent architectural focal point. A freestanding propane fireplace or fire column, such as Planika, needs no construction and can be placed on a patio or terrace. Gas-line and permit rules vary by local code.

Are concrete (GFRC) fire bowls durable outdoors?

GFRC is glass-fiber reinforced concrete: lighter and stronger than standard poured concrete, which is why it is used for large outdoor fire bowls and fire pits. Proper drainage and winter care help it last for many seasons.

Yes. The Outdoor Plus fire pits, fire tables and fire bowls are handcrafted to order in Southern California, in GFRC concrete, hammered copper, powder-coated steel, stainless steel and corten steel, for propane (LP) or natural gas (NG).

Do Planika patio heaters and fireplaces need installation?

No. Planika patio heaters and freestanding fireplaces run on propane with a 20 lb tank hidden inside, so there is no gas line or construction. They put out 27,300–34,120 BTU behind a 360° glass flame. See the patio heaters and Planika collection.

Can I put a gas fire pit on a deck or covered patio?
